Chemical Name:
diethanolamine
Applications:
Aqueous solutions of diethanolamine have a lower freezing point, and can offer handling benefits compared to pure diethanolamine. Aqueous solutions of diethanolamine are used in the manufacture of corrosion inhibitors, surfactants, petroleum demulsifiers and rubber chemicals. It is used as a gas scrubber to remove hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide and in production of wax, polish and coating emulsifiers.
